“Einfach toll.”
The location is superb, right on the Sauer, with Rosport/Luxembourg just across the bridge and easy to reach. The inn offers good food and breakfast, plenty of hiking and cycling options. Unfortunately, there is no bike storage available.
Breakfast was served at the table, plentiful and tasty; dinner in the house was also generous and delicious. The staff were very friendly, the room on the Sauer was quiet, and the price‑to‑value ratio was spot on.
“Goed hotel en vriendelijk personeel.”
The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was tidy and well maintained; breakfast was well prepared and plentiful, and the surroundings were beautiful, making it pleasant to walk the dog. However, the room felt quite stuffy even though there were fans.
You enter a typical German-style inn, and as soon as you open the room door you’re surprised by the modern décor, contemporary bathroom, and conveniently placed outlets. We noticed that many guests park neatly at the hotel, but the parking is so tidy that there’s actually room for more cars. Unfortunately, the rear parking area forces you to walk 5 to 10 minutes with your luggage, and the hotel’s suggestion to build a staircase directly down from the building would eliminate that hassle.
The location was great, but the interior of the restaurant felt a bit outdated.
