The place was in a convenient spot in Sandton, the neighborhood felt safe for a solo traveler, the guest house was roomy enough for two guests, the bed was super comfy, and the host—a young man—was kind and accommodating. The fridge still had leftovers and moldy cheese from previous guests, and there were old soap bars in the bathroom from earlier stays.

There’s no breakfast, but there’s a lovely little kitchen where you can cook a great breakfast yourself—though there’s no toaster. Wi‑Fi was advertised but didn’t work.
