“My Resort - да! Апартаменты D612 - нет!”
The My resort residential complex is wonderful, situated in a prime spot with all conveniences nearby; a taxi or tuk-tuk takes just 10 minutes to reach the main entertainment centers in Hua Hin. It boasts eight large and one children's pool, a green and tidy area, and the sea is only 200 m away. However, apartment D612 was a disappointing surprise. First, the photos on the listing didn’t match reality; the interior pictures only partially matched, and for instance a washing machine appears in the photo but isn’t present in the apartment. The view from the apartment actually faces a noisy street, whereas the photo shows a pool view. One of the water heaters was broken, leaving no hot water in one bathroom, and a plumber had to be called; the repair took a full day. Two to three days later the fridge broke, a technician took it for a day for repair, and all the food had to be thrown away. The stove wouldn’t turn on, and half the outlets didn’t work. It felt less like rest and more like battling household inconveniences. The manager was a genius, responding instantly and promptly to every request at any time; without her, it would have been far worse.
