The place was quiet. However, it turned out to be our most expensive accommodation on our Black Forest trip.

The setting is beautiful with a nice view, the beds are cozy, and it’s close to the train station. The only downside was that I didn’t stay longer.

The spot by the lake and the view were simply amazing, especially since we stayed in room 10! Breakfast each morning was plentiful and tasty, and we weren't disappointed at dinner either. The staff were super friendly and warm. The location itself is great—you’re right next to Schluchsee or Titisee, and the little taverns are only 5 to 10 minutes away, perfect if you don’t want to drive around the area and just relax. We added a day at Badewelt Schwarzwald, everything was perfect! We’ll come back. The only thing that would have made it even better is an electric car charging station.

The room had a balcony with a lake view, and the location is beautiful for walking. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel sits on a busy road, so daytime noise is noticeable, but it disappears at night.

The beds were comfortable, the hotel modern, the room clean, and the restaurant was very good. Breakfast service was excellent, with vegetarian and vegan options that were great. The Wi‑Fi worked well. The place looks nicer in photos than in reality; a busy road blocks lake access, and a train line runs nearby. The rustic parking is unfortunately used for passersby’s bathroom breaks. A large metal playground ruins the lake view. The hotel is dog‑friendly but offers no bowls for our dog. A server panicked when our 45‑kg dog approached the table, blaming us in English, saying “this is the first time it happens, it’s not normal.” That response fell short of good service. We ended up ordering ourselves at the bar. No one speaks French, and nothing is adapted for French guests.
