Sometimes you just can’t find enough words to describe a place that feels like home. A week after we left, we still remember the moments spent there with such warmth and a hint of sadness that we’d jump on a plane and go back for a few more days. We stayed only three days, yet the house filled us with so much joy that describing it would be endless and dull. I won’t talk about the breakfasts, the convenient location, or the room we stayed in. Instead, I’ll say this: if you’re looking for a place in Samarkand that welcomes you more than any other, look no further. If you want kind, generous, and selfless hosts, you’ll find them here in Shavkat and Jamily. They’ll immerse you in Eastern hospitality and arrange your leisure so that you might stay longer than planned (and that’s exactly what happened with some of us). You won’t want to leave, and you’ll definitely want to return. If your spirit is open to the broad, generous warmth of the East, this is the spot for you. A special greeting to Shavkat, Jamily, Shavkat’s brother Sergey, and from Russia, Alexey, Alexander, Elena, and Katya. We’re already looking forward to coming back—wait for us, we’ll be there! Wishing you prosperity and great guests. P.S. We also send greetings to our new friends from Belarus, Nikolai and Elena. Until we meet again in Samarkand!
