All the reviews talk about the very friendly hosts and we can only agree with that; a very warm and wonderful family where hospitality still takes center stage. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful (thanks Sarah ☺️). We stayed in a smaller room on the upper floor without a balcony, which was fine. Next time we may book the apartment. From Turnerhof you can do great hikes without a car, and you can also cycle nicely around (we’ll try the pastries next time). In short, a very warm stay.

Delicious breakfast, dreamy location overlooking Lake Millstatt. The owners are super friendly, humorous, and helpful, and the place is kid‑friendly; staying on the farm is a paradise for children. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!

Stayed for four days on the Haider family farm perched on a hill overlooking Lake Millstatt—just a quick drive away. The double room was spacious, with a flower‑topped balcony, comfy bed, and a private bathroom; breakfast downstairs offered a tasty spread of local meats, cheeses, bread, eggs, yogurt, fruit, homemade sweets, milk, and American coffee.

The spot was gorgeous, overlooking the Millstattersee, and the kids were thrilled to meet the farm animals and help out in the barn. We spent our days strolling around the property, watching the animals, and enjoying the fresh air. The view of the lake from the hilltop was simply stunning.
