The position is great. The welcome was not good, the room was very small for the price, and there was limited outdoor seating for breakfast.

The panoramic views from the penthouse room are incredible. The pool area and pool bar feel fantastic and are great for relaxing. The lounge and interior bar are just as good. The staff were all excellent throughout our stay, a very professional and friendly team. The breakfast was top class. The location is great, being at the start of the Pine Walk, a pleasant 1‑mile (1.6 km) walk along the seafront, and close to several first‑class restaurants.

I was exhausted when I arrived at this tired, dated old hotel that definitely isn’t a 4‑star property, which left me very disappointed. After paying for seven nights, I checked out after only three and ended up renting an apartment on the Pinewalk. The pool is open to the public, so sun loungers are usually taken by paying visitors, leaving guests without any. The breakfast room on the first floor is awful—dark, tired, and offers limited choices. Outside guests can dine in the pleasant hotel lobby and terrace, but hotel guests are excluded.
