The rooms were modern, well‑furnished, and kept spotless; we were right in the centre of the door with spectacular views at every turn. Just remember you’ll need a 15‑minute adventurous ride down the mountain to Pinhao.

We liked the welcome, the friendly English chat, the full breakfast, and the ideal spot of this guest house in the most beautiful part of the Douro. The only tiny complaint was the breakfast time set at 8:30, which feels like 9:30 for a French person; we would have preferred an earlier start to explore more scenery.
