The views are great and the architecture is amazing. All the hotel staff were very polite, and towels were changed twice a day. The architecture is great but could be more practical; the winds here are very strong, making it hard to enjoy the facilities, even breakfast. Small adjustments could protect the common areas from the wind on this windy island. The room was a good size, but there’s nowhere to dry towels or swimsuits; the shower is spacious but lacks a place for toiletries and has limited space to hang towels. Design tricks look nice but can lead to accidents (small gaps around the private pool, low entrances/doors). The private pool was tiny. The pastries at breakfast didn’t feel fresh, and everything was served at the same time, both sweet and savoury. The road to the hotel is unpaved, so all the sand ends up in the common areas. The hotel is quite isolated from the town of Folegandros even though the distances are small; the road is not great. The reception, though polite, offered no information about Folegandros island, which would have been nice for first‑time visitors.
