“Just brilliant”
Every single aspect of the hotel was excellent. The grounds, food and staff were all exceptional, on par with any hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Nothing negative.

The staff were wonderful and the entertainment was great, and the food quality was superb. The hotel is beautiful, but there were discrepancies in the description and a lack of transparency. Jardín Tecina is a stunning place with fantastic facilities and surroundings on La Gomera. The staff are friendly and the environment is fantastic, yet my stay was marred by two significant issues that I see as misleading advertising and a lack of transparency: The room did not match what was booked – I had a double room with a “balcony” and garden view, but was given a ground‑floor room at street level, essentially a terrace or porch, not a balcony, which stripped us of privacy and security, and the hotel only defended its position instead of offering a solution. Hidden costs in the Half‑Board: nowhere in the booking description did it state that drinks were not included during the dinner portion of the half‑board plan. This kind of information should be clear from the start to avoid unpleasant surprises at payment. It’s a shame because the hotel is wonderful, but these information and customer‑relationship flaws mar the experience.

The hotel sits on a cliff‑side park overlooking the sea, and in the Horizonte room the sliding window lets the ocean sound drift straight into the bed, plus the terrace offers a stunning view. On the downside, only two of the four à‑la‑carte restaurants were open, and at the buffet we sometimes had to chase waiters just to get a drink or dessert, which was frustrating.

The property was spotless and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. The room could have been better with a smaller bathroom and a larger layout, but everything was in good condition, the pillows were a bit low and the mattresses comfortable. We chose half‑board; breakfast was excellent and varied with plenty of fruit and fresh juices, while dinner was typical for this type of hotel, nothing spectacular.

Everything was fine except the air‑conditioning.
