The location, pub, and restaurant were great, and the staff were friendly; however, the restaurant was a bit pricey and my room could use better soundproofing.

The area was lovely, and walking along the river was a pleasure.

Breakfast was excellent and the reception staff were helpful, but dinner was terrible and we felt we were overworking our waitress; the public entrance and stairs were very dirty, although the room itself was fine but needed a serious refresh.

The view was spectacular; the cottage faced the river and offered the most magnificent vista I’ve ever seen, truly magical! The staff were great and breakfast was good, but the cottage could use a bit of TLC—everything was clean but a bit dated, otherwise it was a fantastic stay.

All meals—breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner—were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful; yet some facilities like the toilets, furnishings, and missing items in the bedrooms (e.g., hot & cold tap, non‑working heated towel rail) detracted from an otherwise comfortable and relaxing stay.
