The happy hour was awesome, and the bartender was kind and attentive to my family, but the sheets had holes and the pull‑out couch was a nightmare.
“This place needs a good maintanance and upgrade of the room and a deep cleaning.”
The location, quietness, and breakfast were solid, but the overall cleanliness fell short, the property needs a lot of maintenance, and the staff—especially those tasked with cleaning the restaurant and bar—were lacking; food was left on bar tables until the next morning, and the bedding was old and wrinkled.
“Besides the issue at the bar, it’s a really nice hotel to stay at.”
It’s a genuinely nice hotel with comfortable, spacious rooms that I’d return to, but I’d advise against charging bar drinks to your room: I bought two drinks for $34 (already pricey) and was billed $50, so just be cautious if you stay here.
“For the very expensive area of San Rafael, it was a pretty reasonable price.”
The first few nights went smoothly on the 4th floor, but then a persistent humming—maybe an engine, vacuum, or pump—started, stopped, and started again; I’m not sure if it was present during the day since it wasn’t in the room. Aside from that, everything else was fine, the place was surprisingly quiet, the location was great, but there’s a gash in the wall next to the shower that needs fixing.
“Will definitely stay at another Hilton”
I love the spot and the full breakfast, but the bed left something to be desired.
