The place is right on the metro and tram lines, which made getting around a breeze. Unfortunately the room was down in the basement and felt more like a cramped cellar – dim, a bit dusty, with spider‑webs and even someone else’s towels left on the heater. We had no say over the heating; the staff handled it and we only felt any warmth once in five days, and that was just in the bathroom, plus the constant rumble from the boiler next door was pretty annoying, especially given the steep price.
The room itself was fine and the shared bathroom worked without any problems. Just keep in mind there are a lot of short flights of stairs, so lugging big suitcases up can be a hassle.
The place was spotless and exactly as shown, even the shared bathroom was clean. But the parquet floors made a racket every time someone walked on them. Overall decent, just a bit noisy.
The room was absolutely gorgeous – bright, nicely decorated and super comfortable. Everything seemed well‑kept and I had no complaints at all.
“Not Great”
The location can’t be beat, but you won’t find out until check‑in that the room is actually in the basement. It feels like a real cellar, right next to a boiler that kept kicking on and off all night, and the “window” is basically a pane glued to a wall with dust and cobwebs everywhere – even a spider hanging overhead. We also discovered a used asthma inhaler under the bed, which made it clear the place hadn’t been properly cleaned, though the bathroom and bed were at least tidy.
