Everything was perfect.
“Great pick for Macapa. Just make sure you contact the Pousada before your arrival, even more if traveling out of season.”
The property matched the marketing perfectly, with the owner’s personality shining through every corner; it felt like a true gem in the area. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The shower was a little uneven because of its system, and when we arrived at the Pousada late at night no one was waiting for us; we had to call the reservation phone to get in, which was a bit disappointing. Otherwise the staff was great and very helpful, and breakfast was superb.
“Nao gostei.”
The place was picturesque, but it claimed to be by the sea and it wasn't. It was close to the river bar and surrounded by a lot of ugly, popular stalls.
After 5 pm there was nobody to greet guests and we were given the wrong room after we had already settled in.
I really appreciated the staff’s warm welcome; she was very helpful and attentive and served a wonderful coffee on our balcony. The pool was clean, and the place was super quiet at night. Contacting them via WhatsApp was smooth, too. The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower water didn’t drain through the drain, overflowing into the rest of the bathroom.
