The hostel was very cozy, with homemade breakfast every day and plenty of tips about local activities from Carla. The two‑bedroom stay was a little lacking in comfort; the bed was on the small side and sometimes you had to wait for hot water.

The hostel is perfect for unwinding between hiking days. It’s near the Rataquenua viewpoint, and the large garden invites you to read a book in the sun or meet other travellers. Carla and her two dogs are super sweet :) Carla gives you all the information you need for trips around Huaraz and cooks delicious food. In addition to the amazing free breakfast, you can order dinner, which has always been so good! It can get relatively cold at night, but Carla provides more blankets if needed. The hot shower is great after a long day of hiking, though it’s a little fiddly.

とても静かで落ち着いたところです。建物は手作りで暖かみがあります。ヨーロッパからの旅行者が多く、交流できます。手作りのピザの窯があって、夕食も作ってくれます。人懐こい犬もいます。手作りコテージではない部屋に泊まりましたが、コテージはもっとリラックスできるかな。ツアーバスは歩いて２分のところにお迎えが来てくれます。のんびりしたい人向けです。. 母屋の２階のバス共有の部屋はとなりの音が筒抜けです。朝早いツアーに参加する際、音をたてないようめちゃくちゃ気を遣いました。隣のドイツ人カップルは全然気にしないでと言ってくれましたが。

We loved staying at Tony’s house. Carla was very kind and helped us learn about the area and organize hikes. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The room was very comfortable with a hot shower. The dogs were cute too! Would highly recommend.
