“Below the standards. Did not at all meet my expectations.”
The location was fine, but everything else let me down. The hotel facilities were very poor: no WiFi, and the bathroom doors couldn’t be locked.

The rooms had a foul‑smelling bedsheet, the bathroom was worse than a public toilet, and there were cockroaches everywhere.

I liked the location and room which I got when I had to upgrade as pictures shared were not as per the room I was getting. The upgraded room was spacious and good. Shortage of drinking water at the hotel. No mineral water was available for 2 days consecutively and too many cockroaches in the room at night time. No pest control

I booked a stay at Super Townhouse Marine Drive Puri Formerly Royal Crown through an unnamed platform, and the reservation was marked confirmed with a confirmation sent by the hotel. Before arriving, no one asked for prepayment or warned that the booking would only be honored for prepaid guests. When I and my family went straight to the hotel in Puri, the staff told us they had no rooms and no booking, despite the confirmation. They suggested I complain to an aggregator that usually redirects to the property, which was unhelpful. They then claimed they only accept prepaid bookings, but if that was the rule, why confirm it at all or inform me? This happened on a Saturday, when other hotels were fully booked, leaving us in a tough spot.
