The staff were kind and the breakfast was great. Loud construction in the rooms next to ours and right outside our room made it unpleasant to spend time on the property and difficult to sleep.

I had a wonderful stay at Kumari Guest House in Polonnaruwa! 🌿 The rooms were extremely clean and well‑maintained, making it a very comfortable place to relax. The staff were absolutely amazing—so friendly and caring; they treated us just like family. The location is stunning, surrounded by peaceful scenery that really adds to the experience. The bathroom was also very clean and well‑kept, which we really appreciated. Another big plus is the safe parking area, giving us peace of mind about our vehicle throughout the stay.

I had planned to stay two nights but ended up staying only one because the room was extremely humid and had mould on the walls and I couldn’t sleep at night. When I mentioned it the next day, they showed me another room which was a bit better. However I realised they had put me in the worst room, even though I was the only guest at the property. Didn’t like it

We were greeted by the host family with refreshing homemade lemon lemonade. They were very warm and helpful, even offering us an extra room for parking our bicycles. And yes, the shower really had good pressure.

The hospitality atmosphere was great and renting a bicycle was a good price. However, the experience was not complete.
