The owner was very welcoming, the environment is nice, and there are food stalls nearby. They also offer motorcycle rentals, so I’d recommend it; overall it’s quite good.

The location is good and the vibe feels like a boutique hostel. The beds are wobbly—if someone moves in the upper or lower bed, yours will shift, making sleep uncomfortable. Communication was tough; the man gave me an irritated look and spoke angrily in his own language just because I asked for help with hot water. The woman then showed me that I needed to turn the valve more than halfway to get warm water— I was trying to be economical and didn’t understand the trick initially. The irritation was unprofessional.

The location is good enough that the city center is within walking distance. There were a few mosquitoes, but the staff had little control over that since the whole city was buzzing during my stay.

The bed, room, and shared spaces are cleaned regularly and kept tidy, and bath towels are included in the room rate. Though it’s a bit farther from the center, Grab and Bolt are easily available, so it’s not a problem, and the area around the hostel is full of tasty, inexpensive local eateries, so meals and daily needs are no issue. Bikes and motorcycles can be rented at the hostel. The owner couple are kind and greet you warmly. The downside is that if someone smokes on the terrace attached to the room, the smell drifts into the room.

The hostel turned out far better than I expected, so much so that I booked two more nights. It sits in a quieter, more local area yet still within a 20‑minute walk to the main city centre square, and the main roads out of town for motorbike day trips are easily reachable. The hostel offers a good motorbike rental at a reasonable price, and the owners speak some English and are very friendly. Air‑conditioning in the rooms works well, and free drinking water is supplied.
