I spent a night here on my way to a camping trip in the Grampians and regretted not staying longer at this lovely spot. The area offers plenty of activities, starting with cellar‑door tastings at the back of the property, but I’d probably have spent most of my time enjoying the peace and quiet at this out‑of‑town location. It was cold and rainy when I arrived, yet my room felt very cosy.

The simple room and suite are at the back of the homestead on the winefarm, and the hosts made me feel very welcome. It’s close enough to town for a meal, though it’s a bit farther from the Grampians than I expected. No complaints.
