The lodge itself was a beautiful escape, and the triple room (room 3) with a shared kitchen felt like stepping into a peaceful, beautiful world surrounded by rugged cliffs, deep green waters, and quiet mountain air—a feeling that will stay with us long after we leave. Ilija’s hospitality—warm, attentive, generous, and genuinely welcoming—made us feel like family, not just guests. As a seasoned traveler of nine years, I found the added touches at Canyon View Lodge incredible: a comfortable room, nice bathroom, fully stocked kitchen, yoga mat, dry bags for water sports, hiking sticks, hiking maps, toiletries for those who forget, and a laundry room with detergent included. Before we left, Ilija met us and gifted us a special local herbal tea and coffee, a heartwarming touch. Canyon View Lodge became a memory, not just a place we visited, and we departed with the canyon still in our hearts—the mountains tall, the water winding quietly below, and Ilija’s kindness making our stay feel like a small gift. There was nothing negative; it was perfection.
