I liked the hot springs, the food and the staff’s service, yet I wish the room had been a Western‑style one so I could sit on a sofa, and it was disappointing that the bathroom lacked a mirror for shaving in the morning.

I had a really nice stay in this one-room detached house with a private onsen bath - the indoor and outdoor baths were a highlight. The staff were super accommodating when I asked for breakfast on short notice, and the free drinks selection was top, especially the shochu. I also appreciated the warm sendoff from the owner when I checked out, and the building still feels pretty new and clean.
