Well located. The manager is very friendly and helpful. Clean. Fair price.

The welcome and the owner’s friendliness, plus the proximity to amenities and the coast. Some equipment could use renovation or modernization. The place isn’t soundproof; you can easily hear other rooms and street noise because the hotel sits on the road.

Friendly reception and a hearty breakfast. The rooms lack sound insulation.

When we stepped inside the building, a strong stench of old, stale, damp, and mold hit us immediately and lingered even in our room. The host who greeted us looked unkempt, had a long beard, and when I told him my name in English and mentioned a booking, he snapped back, saying he didn’t speak English or Italian. Two narrow, smelly staircases led to a similarly foul room that was large but still smelled bad even with the window open. The shower was tiny, hard to turn around in, dirty, missing a shower head holder (the one that was there was squeaky), and the fan cover was covered in dust (see photos). The final surprise: the price shown on Booking already included the city tax, yet the same slovenly host applied the tax a second time.
