Hotel Delight

The room was spacious and in a good location. The bathroom was dirty when I entered, and the shower didn’t work.

Hotel Delight isn’t listed on Google Maps; when I asked via Booking where I was supposed to go, they said the real name of the hotel is Hotel Fama. They only accepted cash, but for various reasons they never gave me the bill. The female staff said she didn’t know how to prepare an invoice from the system, and the male staff said the female staff would do it. Finally, they asked for my email and said they would send it, but they never did.

Breakfast was not available at the time we were there. The location was close to the city centre and easily reachable by bus to the airport or to the Matka Gorge valley. No one had actually cleaned the room. The staff were incompetent and inflexible in everything. The shower head was broken, and the bathroom window couldn’t be closed. They also did not adhere to the advertised fees; for example, the late‑check‑out fee was not the amount listed on the price board.

No parking, broken bed, shower with poor drainage, and it was hard to open the apartment doors.
