The bathroom was spacious, though it had an open‑air section above the wall, and when local neighbors burned garbage next to the guesthouse, smoke drifted in, making it very uncomfortable. I rarely write reviews, but I felt this could prevent a major disappointment. The guesthouse sits right next to a sound school, and I think previous reviewers were there when it wasn’t in full effect or I was at a different time of year. During my two‑week stay, loud music started at 9 a.m. and continued most of the day, often until late at night; earplugs didn’t help at all. The owner, a very sweet lady who cleans daily, couldn’t address the noise complaints and barely speaks English, so she couldn’t assist me with any inconveniences. I even stayed outside the guesthouse for a couple of days to escape the noise, but when I returned around midnight, people from the school were still hanging out—yes, that late—and I had to walk past them to reach my room. When I asked them to keep it quieter, they laughed at me and were extremely rude, some even seeming drunk, and one guy told me it was his house and they could do whatever they wanted. That was so rude and arrogant. It didn’t feel nice at all, and that’s not the hospitality you want in Bali. I messaged the property and spoke to the owner the next day via Google Translator; they apologized, but the noise continued, and I wasn’t comfortable walking past the mean school participants that night. There is no privacy there at all. It was a terrible experience, to be honest, and I had to check out earlier than planned.

The host, mama, is lovely—so welcoming and sweet. The room is clean, cool, and dry; she cleans it daily. It’s a lovely space with a communal kitchen shared with other rooms, very pretty and away from the business area, and it feels homey. Unfortunately, it’s right next to a Legong music learning school, so from about 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night there’s Legong music. On Sunday night the music went until 1 a.m., which meant I couldn’t sleep. If you’re a heavy sleeper you should be fine; I found that headphones helped me fall asleep, except for that Sunday night.

The place was spotless and modern, and the family was very friendly. No complaints at all.

It was very clean! I spotted several geckos in the room. In the evening there was a beautiful ceremony with loud music that went on past 00.00 u, so when we tried to sleep that was a bit difficult.
