We had a lovely stay at Malvin on our way to Chacco Huayllasca climbing; Carmen was very welcoming and even had a tiny kitten we adored! The space was bright and cheerful, and we stayed an extra night after our climb. Many thanks, Carmen. We were very happy.

The welcome, the calm, and the authenticity of the place were great. The shower was a bit temperamental.

We liked it. We only stayed one night, and it’s a good start to the Rainbow Mountains, about 33 km from the base. The accommodation inside was picturesque and clean. It was a bit harder to find because it isn’t directly on the main square; it’s tucked into a side street corner.

The proximity to hikes is a plus. There were no towels, and the shower/WC was very sparse.
