“Rustige kamer in oude schuur naast de pub.”
The location was good, but the steep, narrow staircase to the room above was a drawback.

The room was very clean and spacious, with extra touches like milk, water, fruit, and cereals in the fridge. The staff were very welcoming, and both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent in quality and portion size. The shower temperature switch was hard to turn, and I’d suggest adding a small plug‑in nightlight because it was very, very dark after all the lights were off; with balance problems it was hard to find the bathroom at night without bumping into furniture.

The breakfast was excellent, going the extra mile to accommodate my diabetic restrictions and delivering a delicious spread. The staff were lovely, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. The shower was hard to turn off, and the bathroom floor could have been a bit cleaner, but otherwise it was very nice.

This pub is great and in an incredible location. The room was clean and fit for purpose. The owner was incredibly helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted delicious.

The staff were fabulous, and the landlady was outstanding. Food at both dinner and breakfast was lovely. The room had over‑and‑above extras at the tea and coffee station and a fridge, and the double bed was very comfortable. The woodland garden was wonderful, and parking right outside was easy and plentiful. The clientele were quirky, posh, and chatty. The steak was delicious, but I requested “rare” and received “medium”; it was too British to mention it at the table. The shower controls in the upstairs room were somewhat tricky—turn it fully on and use a strong wrist, then turn it off again.
