The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, the food was very good, and the house itself was beautiful with impressive historic rooms; unfortunately we could only stay for one night because we were on a layover to Slovenia, but it certainly won’t be our last visit.

Mautendorf is a very nice town; the cleanliness and excellent breakfast were appreciated, and we used the on‑site parking during our overnight stop while traveling through Austria.

Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich. Das Hotel selbst liegt im Zentrum. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im 3. Stock mit Dachschrägen. Es war trotzdem sehr geräumig. Von den etwas kleineren Fenstern hatten wir Fernblick auf Berge. Da wir den hoteleigenen Parkplatz nicht fanden, haben wir auf dem öffentlichen Parkplatz geparkt, der ebenfalls nur 5 Minuten entfernt liegt. An einem Tag gingen wir um halb 9 zum Frühstück und es war schon fast vollständig leergeräumt. Es hieß zwar wir könnten nachbestellen was wir wollten aber das macht man natürlich nur für ein paar wenige Sachen. Es gab keinen Lift, sodass es mehrmals am Tag etwas mühsam ist, die Treppe rauf und runter. Wir wurden aber vorgewarnt bzw. wurde uns auch angeboten, dass jemand unsere Koffer tragen würde

The reception was very friendly, the room was clean and had everything we needed for a layover, breakfast was excellent and they took good care of us, checking in several times to see if everything was satisfactory, and during check‑out they showed a lot of interest in how our trip would continue; the host was super sweet! We chose this hotel partly because it had a restaurant, but it was closed that evening; however, they gave us good tips for alternative places.
