The house is lovely and in a great spot. The kind host lives 100 m away and showed us the whole place right after we arrived. It’s well‑furnished and clean. The shop is a 10–15‑minute drive. To reach the lake you need a car, or you can walk 20 minutes through the forest to a rough beach, which isn’t very pleasant. Driving to the nice beaches takes 10, 20, or 40 minutes depending on the destination. The house sits in a quiet area. There are a few minor issues: 1) the shower cabin was quite dirty, with a slightly yellow, greasy floor, which is disappointing given the rest of the house is clean. 2) The hydro‑massage tub wasn’t used, but it was dirty from previous guests and I had to clean it, which was unpleasant. 3) Instead of a water‑intensive bathtub, we think a dishwasher and an extra toilet would be better—four guests and one toilet can be inconvenient. 4) On the upper floor there are two bedrooms but only three beds and a mattress on the floor, which is a bit awkward for someone who has to sleep on the floor or on a mattress. My son isn’t picky, but if four adults came it would feel off. These are just details; they don’t ruin the place, so we rate it 9/10, and with improvements it could be 10/10.

The host is very kind. The house is a little paradise for anyone wanting to unwind—no Wi‑Fi or TV, just calm and nature. It’s lovingly decorated and we felt comfortable from the first second. We even had the chance to watch wild elk in the evening and morning from the terrace—purely magical. Nothing to complain about.

“Charmerende hus i dejlig natur og stilhed”

The décor is very charming and tasteful. Complete silence except for animal sounds and a rare train in the background. We saw elk, cranes, and deer right by the house. We liked everything.

“Prachtig Zweeds huisje midden in de natuur”

A beautiful authentic Swedish cottage with all the necessities. From the porch you could see the field, the forest, and a distant railway where a train passed a few times a day. On the first evening we saw a moose and a few deer. I can’t think of anything negative.

“Heerlijke dagen gehad!”

I stayed for four days in this beautifully renovated Swedish house, and everything felt authentically Swedish—from the décor to the overall vibe. Harriet takes real pride in the property, and you can see it in how well everything is maintained. The place is tucked far outside the inhabited world, so you’ll need a car to get there, but once you arrive you’re immediately at peace. The weather was lovely, so the house got warm, but we could keep the balcony door and windows open to let in a breeze. The meadow outside the house is home to deer, and on our last evening we even spotted a moose strolling by.
