“Unmatched hospitality, incredible food, and a stay where I felt genuinely looked after”
I have nothing negative to mention—10/10 overall. The hospitality was insane, and I felt looked after from start to finish; the team went above and beyond in unexpected ways. I stayed for a while, and they even reached out before my arrival to confirm my comfort with the duration because of the location and limited activities, which I appreciated. They surprised me on my birthday with a personalized cake—fresh cream, passion‑fruit flavored, and absolutely divine—a thoughtful and memorable touch. When I first asked for my sheets to be changed, they cleaned the entire lodge and asked if I had any clothes to wash. During a power cut overnight, they apologized the next day even though I hadn’t mentioned it. They made me food that wasn’t on the menu, adjusted the BBQ (meant for two people) so I could use it alone, and never rigidly stuck to food times; it felt very accommodating and human, not transactional. The food was amazing—everything I ate was excellent, with dinner and lunch well portioned. They arranged airport transfers and gave me bug‑repellent items, which I appreciated given the setting (and the bugs! 😂). The location is beautiful, the accommodation matches the photos—no surprises—and it’s very spacious. I was worried about Wi‑Fi before arriving because of the location and some video calls, but it held up well. I can’t praise the staff enough; they were so kind! This was an unrivaled experience, and I felt very, very well taken care of the entire time. One thing to note: all payments (accommodation, transport, and food) are taken at the end of your stay rather than on arrival, which is useful to know in advance. The only small notes are that my lodge (one of the closest to the entrance) didn’t have a sofa, just a bench and some chairs, so it would have been nice to know that beforehand or to have sofas in all lodges for extra comfort; also there’s no full‑body mirror, unfortunately, which would be a useful addition.
