“Decent for the price and if theres nothinf else available”
The spot is great; the vibe is super quiet, the beds are clean and roomy, and getting around is a breeze with plenty of restaurants nearby—just a 30‑minute walk to the temple and a 10‑minute train ride to Ueno Station. But it’s not a social place at all; the lobby feels like a small hotel, not a chill area. Utensils are almost non‑existent—you have to ask for cups, cutlery, etc., and they might not have them. I wasn’t put in the same room with my friends even though I booked a month in advance—keep that in mind if you’re traveling as a group. Breakfast is served elsewhere, a local café two minutes away, and it’s just a 7‑11‑style sandwich and American‑style coffee. The first thing the staff asked at check‑in was “when is your checkout?” which felt rude; a little more friendliness would have helped.
