“Good but make sure to understand all conditions”
The service was friendly and having a restaurant on site was convenient. However, with a single shared bathroom for all rooms and no breakfast included, the price felt steep. For breakfast and coffee, a budget of €10‑15 per person per day seemed reasonable.
“Nettes authentisches Guesthouse”
The food at the adjacent restaurant was tasty, and the communal bathroom was well equipped, very clean, and had hot water. There was no private bathroom, and the adult bunk bed was a bit short.
The rooms were beautiful, the hosts were nice, and the food was amazing!
“Warm, cozy and a wonderful experience in Ushguli”
I felt very comfortable and welcomed during my stay. The room was spacious, warm, and cozy, with beautiful views, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were absolutely lovely, incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The food was an experience in itself: delicious, homemade, and one of the highlights of my stay. A wonderful place to stay in Ushguli, and I would happily come back.
“A basic, functional guesthouse with a lovely restaurant but an unpleasant staff member”
The guesthouse was basic but functional, and the restaurant was lovely. My room was simple yet clean, and the heating was a welcome relief after a cold day. We knew the shared bathroom in advance, and it was very clean. Dinner was genuinely delicious, and breakfast, though pricey, was generous enough to share. A bedside lamp would have been useful; the main light was so bright it felt like a dental operation. Unfortunately, one staff member’s attitude made me uncomfortable and sometimes intimidated. Our door lock broke, and when we asked for a fix, they first dismissed us and said the property’s dogs would guard our belongings. It was eventually repaired, but reluctantly, as if they were doing us a favor. Similar issues happened at the restaurant. Around 2 p.m., while another table was still finishing lunch, we were told we’d have to wait an hour to order. A different staff member kindly stepped in and arranged food for us. That evening, at 8:45 p.m., we were told the kitchen was closed and we needed to order quickly, yet ten minutes later a large group arrived and was served without any problem. The dog barked all night, disturbing our sleep. I wouldn’t say stay here is a bad idea, but that staff member’s attitude needs improvement, as we often felt like an inconvenience.
