The staff were friendly, but the cleanliness was questionable: the shower cabin door was broken, and someone’s hair was on the tiles near the floor. The balcony view was not great.

Located on the fourth floor of a 19th‑century building in Naples’ historic centre, B&B Art Suite Principe Umberto offers individually styled rooms adorned with antique frescoes, free Wi‑Fi, flat‑screen TVs and optional balconies. Breakfast is served in‑room. A coin‑operated lift provides access, while the hotel sits 500 m from Napoli Centrale, a 7‑minute walk to Circumvesuviana, and a 10‑minute taxi ride to the port.

I found the place lacking in seriousness, and everything else was disappointing.

The hotel is about 400 m from the train station. The building looks run‑down, with terribly dirty walls, a sticky front door, and a general sense of neglect. The room was barely clean enough, had cracks in the ceiling, and would need renovation. The area is still shocking, with tents and litter everywhere!

The location is very good and the room space is large. The check‑in process was poorly organized and unclear; a step‑by‑step guide with codes and doors would save guests a lot of time.

The building has many floors accessed by stairs without an elevator, and the interior is very poorly maintained.
