“Fue una experiencia increíble!! Volveremos otra vez!”

The hotel is gorgeous!! You’re completely surrounded by nature, the food is delicious, and the staff are incredible – especially Lein, who was the best guide and made our stay magical!!! Only two points: the shower head was very weak and the temperature control was terrible, sometimes boiling or freezing. The customer service via WhatsApp before arrival was also very poor; they took days to respond even after reminders, and sometimes the replies came without a greeting. The in‑hotel customer service, however, changed completely and was excellent.

“Beautiful lodge with exceptional staff”

The staff are wonderful. The food is amazing. Beautiful location and grounds. The only downside was the lack of sun loungers by the pool; there were only four large chairs that weren’t very comfortable, and the bar didn’t offer any diet drinks.

Game drives with Washington were excellent. The pickups and drop‑offs, including the elephant orphanage and Kitingella glass, were brilliant. Food was 11 out of 10!

“Overpriced and misleading”

Nice setting and lovely rooms. The service was atrocious. For a two‑night stay we were woken up by cleaning staff who entered our room on the first day, and even after arranging a late checkout for the second day the cleaning staff entered again and told us to leave before the regular checkout time. To top it all, we were confronted with an additional bill for park fees despite booking and having prepaid $2000 which should have been all inclusive. Staff intentionally waited to tell me about this bill until minutes before departing for the airport. For the amount of money they charged and then try to extort in addition to that this place is very overpriced and anyone thinking about splurging on a special location should go somewhere else.

My second stay at Ololo. The staff, food, and game drives are all exceptional. Definitely walk to Kitingela glass factory! The only issue was noisy planes overhead at night, so bring earplugs. Such a shame for an otherwise perfect place!
