It’s a quiet place that embraces a simple life, exactly what you’d expect from the 1990s vibe here. The rooms are very basic, but that lets you dive deep into the region’s history. You can connect with locals and hike directly from the inn, for example to the remains of Burg Zeidler. The pub is wonderful, with simple food, good beer, and a fireplace. Breakfast is simple but good. Modern or trendy cuisine isn’t here. You’ll feel full and ready for a hike. Thanks to the host and his wife, open and earnest people. I can’t think of any negatives. It would have been nice to know that the restaurant is closed on Saturdays. Well, I could have asked.
