How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The staff were lovely and attentive, even though their English was simple. The bed was comfortable, the air‑conditioning worked well and kept the room pleasant. The accommodation was very far from the tourist area (8 minutes by tuk‑tuk). The floor wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom didn’t give a sense of cleanliness. The breakfast was a bit plain compared to what is usually offered.

The family in charge of the place provided outstanding care, very friendly and helpful. The setting is quiet, but if you’re planning to visit Trincomalee or its beaches without a vehicle, it’s not ideal. They didn’t offer breakfast, even though we booked and paid for it. Overall, the room was basic, and the cleaning could be better. We found stains on the bed and openings in the wall that let insects in all night. The bed made a lot of noise when moving, making it hard to sleep.

The bed was comfy; we booked a room with two double beds and chose the one not directly affected by the air‑con. The air‑con was modern and easy to set. The staff were friendly. Initially we had no towels, toilet paper, or soap, but they were supplied after we asked, which was fine. The common areas can’t be used because there’s no air‑con and it’s way too hot. The room was small and didn’t look very clean – hair on the bed, stains, just typical Sri Lankan conditions. The glowing reviews don’t match reality.

A family that was incredibly friendly made my stay feel like home. The room was spotless and the shower water was great, which was essential. The biggest plus was the quiet, even though the ice‑cream vendors outside were a bit annoying. The villa‑dwelling family kept checking that I had everything I needed, and I’m very grateful. The AC, towel, and clean linens were all present, and the nearby train station was a convenience.

We spent one night here and enjoyed a relaxed, comfortable environment. The owner’s hospitality was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which really enhanced our experience. We booked two rooms with en‑suite bathrooms, and he even added an extra one, which was thoughtful. The room AC worked well, and overall the place offers good value for the price. A few issues: the mattress seemed to have some bugs that disturbed my sleep, and although towels and a fridge were listed in the details, they weren’t actually provided during our stay. Despite that, it’s still a solid choice for the cost, and a few tweaks could make it even better.
