“Super”
Glen was very attentive, especially with the extra breakfast and the details; the house still has a lot of character, and thanks to Glen for waiting for us despite the delay – looking forward to returning.

The historic charm of the house really lets you feel the vibe of Via Col Vento, but the many stairs to reach the rooms make it unsuitable for people with mobility issues.

We loved the cozy, traditional home and the hospitality of Glen and his family; the neighborhood was calm and grand, making us feel transported back to old New Orleans. The property is near a bus stop that offers quick access to the historic area, though most of the time we preferred a pleasant 15‑minute walk. Thanks, Glen :)

Glen proved to be an excellent host, offering plenty of useful information and flexibility; the house itself was stunning, adorned with vintage décor that echoed Louisiana’s past. We stayed in the Garden Suite, which was spacious and had ample storage. Breakfast was superb, with Glen’s dishes consistently tasty and a good start to the day, plus extras like cereal, coffee, and cakes. He also supplied water and the bathroom shower was very nice. The only downside was the lack of an external lock on our room—though we had no one else staying at the time, it would be reassuring to secure personal belongings; you can still “lock” from inside using the hook‑and‑eye latch.

The house was beautiful “in its own juice,” and the hosts were very welcoming, considerate, and helpful. Glen directed us on what to do and what not to do, and gave great local recommendations. The breakfast table was lovely, the room was very clean, and the balcony overlooked the room. It was a pity that boxes and other archival papers were piled up in the dining room.
