Cleanliness is spot‑on, breakfast is excellent, the vibe feels family‑friendly, and the travel agency and market nearby add to the charm.

The outdoor area beside the Rio Preguiças is pleasant, the pool is large, and both the pool and reception staff are friendly. The restaurant service was awful, with rude attendants, though the food was okay. Overall the hotel feels old, needs upkeep and a decent renovation, and the cleaning was subpar. One day water was missing for a while. Though it’s marketed as a 4‑star property and charged accordingly, I’d only give it 2 stars because of the lack of maintenance, infrastructure, and staff training. After check‑out, they let me use the pool area, but there were no bathrooms available for showering or changing, so I had to use the sauna area which had an open shower.

The flat was very comfortable, featuring two suites—one with a double bed and the other with two singles—both with spacious bathrooms and good showers; the large pool and river Preguiça access made the grounds pleasant and well‑kept, and breakfast was good. However, the restaurant was pricey and served the same buffet every day—dry sun‑dried beef, fish stew and chicken breast, with only Coca‑Cola for diet soda. Management seemed lacking; breakfast ran until 10 am, and when I arrived at 9 am the papaya was gone and not replenished until I asked, which took ten minutes. The scrambled eggs were finished, so I asked the cook to make some for me and she kindly obliged. When I went for coffee there were only cups without saucers, and the little spoons were all used up, forcing me to request more. Overall, food and supply replenishment were ignored. Maintenance also disappointed: one morning there was no water in our rooms or the restaurant, and we were told the water pump had broken and a replacement was needed. A hotel with dozens of rooms should have a backup pump; the water only returned hours later.

We were a group of 27 people and it was the only hotel that could accommodate us. The bar was cheap every day in the room. The worst bar and restaurant service we’ve ever had. It seems they are doing a favor and not providing a service. The attendant simply told me to speed up the order because she had to leave (this was at 19:30, she would leave at 20:00 and the food only arrived at 21:00). I complained 3 times to the bar manager and got not even a simple apology. The internet was terrible. 2026!
