The room is modern and nice, good beds, especially the topper on the bed helped maintain a good posture so you slept well. Clean and tidy, the shower is good and large. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ‘à la carte’. The décor is nice. The breakfast area was only open until 4 pm, after that guests couldn’t use it, which was a pity. You could sit on the -1 floor, but then you were looking at the gym and the toilets. It wasn’t very atmospheric and the seats weren’t very comfortable.

If you're unsure, book the hotel before it sells out. I found the hotel EXCELLENT. One of the highlights was breakfast—great that everything was made fresh on the spot, a real differentiator. The staff were the biggest plus; everyone was attentive, friendly, and helpful, but Marco stood out even more. He solved the issues we asked for, gave fantastic recommendations for restaurants and off‑beat spots, and honestly the trip wouldn’t have been the same without him; he was the high point of the hotel. We loved everything. A small suggestion for an even better experience would be to put a towel rack closer to the shower box and improve the shower drain. That doesn’t lower our ten‑point rating, and we didn’t even report it at the time (it might have already been fixed); I’m just noting it for future reference. I would definitely stay again and recommend the hotel.

The proximity to Funchal’s city centre, the room and its décor, and the very good breakfast with fresh products were all positives. It was hard to find a parking spot, so you need to plan ahead. About the bedding, I noticed the right side was much more “deep” than the other, so it wasn’t very comfortable. A water bottle is provided, but once it’s finished you have to go down to the –1 floor to refill it. It’s a shame the breakfast isn’t a buffet for the price you pay; the staff gave us a menu that didn’t offer much variety (eggs, bowl, bacon, ham, cheese, etc.). There were pancakes, but only one was served and the portions were tiny for each dish. Some of the staff seemed rushed and not very enthusiastic, which was unpleasant; we felt like we were bothering them when we wanted to reorder. After the first order, the menu was taken away as if we shouldn’t ask for more items. The air‑conditioning was set to full blast in the breakfast area, which was not very pleasant.
