“It was quiet, relaxing, remote, and beautiful scenery.”
The lodge sits deep in the wilderness, so quiet it felt like real Alaska; we had a water‑pressure problem, texted the owner, and within 5‑10 minutes it was fixed. We stayed hoping for better northern‑lights chances, but the weather didn’t cooperate.
“Enttäuschend”
The accommodation was well‑located, but the building was extremely sound‑prone, with loud, thoughtless roommates; the operator was unresponsive, which was disappointing. Entry required shoe removal, but we couldn’t even get in because about 100 shoes were scattered at the entrance. The rooms were too small with almost no storage, and the high‑plush carpet felt unhygienic given the constant turnover of guests.
Wow, what a place to stay. Loved it. Nothing else to add.
“Everything went as planned in a pleasant manner”
The staff were friendly, the kitchen was fully stocked and the rooms comfortable, but the place is remote—yet perfect for northern‑lights viewing.
An unbelievable location, wonderful lodge, and the terrace is simply exquisite.
