The location is good, but the manager and his assistant charged me £20 for being 7 minutes late when the reception closes at 9, even though bookings state 21:30; a random man also walked into my room before leaving. This is my first negative review and I’ll also leave a Google review. You shouldn’t charge £20 for a 7‑minute delay, and I called 5 times before to inform them with no answer.

The staff on duty were polite and supportive, but the rooms and bathroom facilities were disappointing.

There was no breakfast. At 7.52 am I sent a message asking for toilet paper, and at 9.45 am none was provided. We were only given less than half a roll at check‑in. There is a raised step from the bedroom to the bathroom with no written warning or tape to raise visibility, and I cut my toe tripping on the ledge—a safety hazard.

It was very cosy, the beds were insanely comfortable, and I liked being able to watch Netflix and BBC Player, which really helped entertain the little one in the evening.
