“First Avid Visit”
Check‑in was quick, the elevator took me to the upper floors, and the hotel stayed very clean with no carpeting; the window blinds were electronically controlled, the TV worked well with many channels, and I had requested a walk‑in shower because of physical limitations—there was a nice shower and grab bars. There were plenty of outlets near the bed, so I didn’t have to contort myself to reach them. Breakfast was cooked and offered several options, though a waffle maker or dark coffee would have been a nice addition. The dining area was pleasant, we saw an exercise room but didn’t use it, and we didn’t look for a pool.
“We stay here because of proximity to our granddaughter, but we would like some improvements.”
I never expect a breakfast that matches other hotels, and this one simply doesn’t; even with my allergies I rarely find anything I can eat, and the free breakfast smells are missing. The room’s smell was off—my granddaughter thought it smelled like a wet dog when she came to pick me up, though I eventually got used to it. I’ve also noticed that rooms still haven’t had small repairs like cracked tiles or missing drywall corners.
“Staff was nice, but the facility needs more work.”
The location was great, and the hallway just got new carpet. However, the room HVAC didn’t cool well; the fan motor seemed to lack airflow, and there was no hair dryer. A fire alarm went off at 10:30 pm one night.
The location and price were great, and the place was very clean and comfortable, with nothing to complain about.
“Very pleased with our stay. Will return!”
We were welcomed by General Manager Tracy at the front desk, who was very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating to our needs. The location is very convenient.
