The hotel is in a great spot in Lisbon, right beside two lovely parks and within walking distance of the best streets. We loved our room, which was very large, private, and quiet, very comfortable, and it offered a nice view of the botanical gardens at the back. Nothing else was problematic.

Breakfast had good variety, and the staff made a point to acknowledge our affection. The room had poor air quality and a fan that was very noisy.

The location was perfect, but you can hear everything from the other rooms. They emphasize that there is no air‑conditioning; opening the window lets in noise, and construction is happening right behind the building. The code logistics for entering and leaving the property are inconvenient.

The property sits in a very quiet area (Principe Real) and below the hotel there are several buses that take you to the city center. The staff are genuinely friendly and always ready to solve any customer issue. The room feels welcoming, but because many parts are made of wood it doesn’t block noise well; you could hear the exhaust from bathrooms on higher floors and the clatter of dishes during breakfast (we were on the second floor where the breakfast room was located).
