Access from Kyoto Station is good, there are plenty of cultural spots nearby for a pleasant walk, and the dining options are plenty. The exterior looks very Kyoto‑like and even made me excited as a Japanese person. The building has been fully renovated and is clean. The tatami corner was very relaxing. The shower pressure is strong. However, the whole room had a strong mildew or sewage smell that didn’t go away until checkout, which was disappointing for a clean room.
