“Insgesamt enttäuschend”

The location was top, the reception was very friendly and helpful. The service, restaurant, and breakfast were not up to the standard expected for a hotel of this price and star rating.

“Não voltaria neste Hotel jamais.”

I booked a type of suite, but when I arrived the hotel had none available. They tried to put me in a bad room, which I refused. They eventually gave me a suite I didn’t like, and I had no choice.

“Localização e estrutura excelentes, mas custo-benefício fraco e serviço demorado.”

What I liked most was definitely the location: an amazing view, close to the beach, and practically the best in José Ignacio, even better than many options in Punta del Este. The pool is beautiful and very pleasant. The staff are very friendly (and many speak Portuguese, which helps a lot). The gym and spa facilities are excellent, top‑level, easily one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. What could have been better is mainly the cost‑benefit ratio and the accommodation itself. The rooms are fairly simple. Some maintenance points are needed at the hotel, so the pool has some loose wood and at the same time the service is very slow. Even though the staff are friendly, ordering something at the restaurant takes too long. In the end everything is disproportionately expensive for what is actually delivered. If the hotel cost a third of the price, it might not be that bothersome, but it is very expensive compared to what it offers.

“Perfect”

I liked the location, but the terrace furniture was disappointing.

The room was very comfortable, but I didn't like that the only bathroom option was a Nordic one.
