The hotel was beautiful, welcoming, and Gillian offered a wonderful reception; the interior design was fantastic and thoughtfully detailed, the breakfast was good, and parking was convenient, though it was dark in the courtyard at night and some lighting would have been nice.

The room was lovely, breakfast great, and the owner was helpful, making for a perfect night on our tour of Dumfries and Galloway—thanks! All was good, a high‑standard stay.

The host was very welcoming and everything was spotlessly clean; the room was a good size with an ensuite, and breakfast was freshly made with great produce, but I would have liked a water glass in the room and perhaps water or juice offered with breakfast.

The staff were very accommodating of requests, and the rooms met a good standard; nothing to add.
