The entire youth hostel and the area right in the middle of nature… simply magnificent. The hostel manager and staff were super friendly, and the breakfast was delicious 😋. Nothing to complain about!

“Schleteste Unterkubft seit Jahren, Leiitung unfähig und unfreundlich!!”

Despite speaking with the director of the youth hostel, I was charged twice!!! 102 EUR for the single room and 305 for the twin room for the same period. The single room was converted into a double room. I request a refund of 102 EUR. The hostel was empty, no costs. If you do not refund, I will file a complaint with Sparkasae Sonneberg and initiate a refund!! 03.09.2026, Ralph Frigo

The spot is great, tucked in a natural setting and the staff were really friendly. The only downside was that the canteen was a bit loud, though that might change with the crowd.

“Place for students”

There was nothing good to say. The rooms had no internet, no towels, and the place feels more like a school than a spot for business or vacation.
