Shady Lady Bed and Breakfast

“It was so hot in the room that we got up at 3 am and left for home. It was not a pleasant stay.”

The staff were very nice, but we didn’t enjoy our time at the Shady Lady; our room had black walls that felt a bit creepy, the bed was hard and squeaky, and the worst was that the air conditioner turned off around 7:30 pm when the temperature hit about 100 °F, so the room stayed over 90 °F and we could barely sleep, whereas the parlor stayed at 83 °F and felt cooler by comparison.

“Adequate”

The location was good, but there were peacocks everywhere and bird poop everywhere.

The breakfast was extensive and well‑prepared, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was prime, and the stay was pleasant.

The hosts were very nice, the history was interesting, and we liked the peacocks, but the windows needed cleaning, there were too many decorative items, we had little space for our belongings, the light fixture hung too low, and my friends hit their heads at least five times.
