“Schickes Hotel, aber es gibt dunkle Zimmer”
The furnishings and atmosphere were good, but the room faced the courtyard and was completely dark.

The Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser, a 1684-built baroque palace, offers a quiet city centre location near Kärntner Straße. Family-owned since 1904, it's close to Vienna's landmarks: State Opera, Hofburg Imperial Palace, and St. Stephen's Cathedral. Individually furnished rooms feature flat-screen TVs, laptop-sized safes, and Gianni Versace-style bathrooms. A rich breakfast buffet and 24-hour lobby coffee are available. Nearby: restaurants, bars, cafés, and Ringstraßengalerie shopping mall.

The room was fantastic and the breakfast superb; the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was right in the center. I’ll definitely return. I was confused because the wine bottle on the counter had a “paid” label, so I thought it was free, but it was actually for sale.
