Easy access to facilities. Delayed check in process, I was waiting in my car 1 hour passed the agreed timing. The noise because of the construction beside the hotel was annoying

We booked two rooms at DoubleTree Hotel and were only able to check into the first at 4:30 PM because the second was still being prepared; we asked for the key right away so we could use the pool and activity areas before they closed at 6:00 PM, but we didn’t get the second room until after 6:00 PM, and we only learned it was ready when we found the key card on the floor of the first room after coming back from the pool; at checkout we asked for a late check‑out to make up for the delay, but it was denied because the rooms were needed for incoming guests, which felt unfair and disappointing—our expectation was that the hotel would accommodate the delay in check‑in, yet the same consideration was not offered for a late check‑out; we had booked two rooms for a comfortable stay, but the delayed check‑in cut our time at the facilities, and I hope the management takes this seriously and offers a fair explanation and appropriate compensation.
