Check‑in was easy. The bed was uncomfortable, the breakfast food was mediocre, and there was no half‑and‑half—only fake creamer for coffee. One of the two rooms we booked had bedbugs.

I skipped breakfast because it didn't appeal to my wife, but the apples were tasty—though Granny's or Honey Crisp would have been a huge upgrade.

The light-roast coffee, which I always appreciate. Oatmeal, which I always eat at Hamptons, was watery and not hot. The potatoes were mushy and just edible
